National Public Health Dentistry day was observed on 19th June 2020 by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, MCODS Manipal. The 6th National Public Health day was observed with the theme of ”Preventing-Promoting-Prolonging” and ”Improving oral health through community Efforts”. Dr Ramprasad V P, Prof and Head, Public Health Dentistry informed the importance of the day and shared a video prepared by the members of the INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC HEALTH DENTISTRY (IAPHD). Dr Keerthilatha M Pai, Dean, MCODS, Manipal, addressed the gathering of Post Graduates and Faculty of the Department, with recollections of her days at Government Dental College and Hospital, Bangalore. The program was also attended by Dr Vidya Saraswathi, Associate Dean, MCODS, Manipal, who appreciated the initiative. A webinar titled 'Online Scientific writing program during COVID -19 ' conducted by the Research Directorate of Manipal Academy of Higher Education University was planned for the day, which was attended by faculty and Post Graduates of the Department.
