Greetings!
Welcome to the second issue of the year 2017.
JIAPHD is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals. I would like to share with the members that JIAPHD has applied for Clarivate Analytics' Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). The ESCI evaluation takes a minimum period of 6 months for the review of an applied journal.
Our International Editorial Board now includes three eminent researchers of repute – Dr. Srima Lilani Ekanayake, Dr. Prof. W. Peter Holbrook and Dr. Daniel J. Caplan – thereby increasing the board strength to five. Many more researchers are likely to join our journal. I thank the members for coordinating in this endeavor.
The urge to celebrate days of public health importance is on the rise which can be considered as a healthy change all over India. Besides creating awareness, I am sure public health dentists are carving a niche for themselves in the minds of people.
Reviewers are doing a commendable job in strengthening the peer review process. Their tireless work needs to be recognized. Similarly, young researchers are taking up innovative studies. I wish findings of these studies not just inspire another research but also have clinical significance and address the needs of dental education, service, and research in India.
I sincerely thank the authors, reviewers, Editorial Board, Medknow, and IAPHD head office for supporting in all our endeavors.
